Your journey

• Day 1 — Darwin to Kununurra: Travel through Katherine, Victoria River country and Timber Creek into the East Kimberley.

• Day 2 — Bungle Bungles: Fly over Lake Argyle and the Ord River region into Purnululu National Park. Explore the beehive domes and Cathedral Gorge by guided 4WD and walking tour, then enjoy an included 30-minute helicopter flight before flying back to Kununurra.

• Day 3 — El Questro: Explore Emma Gorge and enjoy a Chamberlain Gorge cruise. Overnight at El Questro.

• Day 4 — Gibb River Road: Relax in Zebedee Springs, cross the Pentecost River and travel beneath the Cockburn Ranges to Mount Elizabeth Station.

• Day 5 — Kimberley gorges: Visit Manning Gorge waterhole, Galvans Gorge and Bell Gorge, with opportunities to walk, swim and enjoy Aboriginal art. Overnight in the Bell Gorge / Imintji region.

• Day 6 — Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek: Discover ancient reef landscapes, wildlife and the underground river passage at Tunnel Creek. Overnight at Fitzroy Crossing.

• Day 7 — Fitzroy Crossing to Broome: Explore the Danggu / Geikie Gorge area, then visit Derby and Mowanjum Aboriginal Art and Culture Centre before arriving in Broome.

Before you book

The Cathedral Gorge walk is approximately 3 km return, graded easy to moderate. Other activities involve uneven ground, gorge walking and wading at Tunnel Creek. Access and activities depend on weather, road conditions and local operations.

Broome accommodation on evening of Day 7 and beyond is your arrangement. Optional extensions include Mitchell Falls, Horizontal Falls and additional nights in Broome. You can book these as extras when booking this tour
