Day 1 - Travel in a small group and visit major and boutique wineries in historic Wollombi village in the famous Hunter Valley. Travel the land pioneered by the O’Neill family, early wine and tobacco growers from the 1860s.  Visit the famous PJ O’Neill’s wine saloon, and key stopping and resting place on the Old Northern Road from Sydney to Newcastle. Overnight Nelson Bay

Travel the Aboriginal trading route and songlines via scenic bush and the convict built Old Northern Road.

• Learn of Aboriginal tribes of the region and their way of life
• Visit the Biamme Cave with ancient artwork showing the great Aboriginal creator spirit Biamme blessing the land.
• Visit historic villages of the 1830’s and savour the life of the early settlers and convicts.

Day  2 – Enjoy the sun, surf, and sailing (optional extra) in Port Stephens Resort on Nelson Bay north of Newcastle with optional swim/surf or whale or dolphin watch cruise (extra cost). Enjoy a scenic walk through the bushland to Nelson Bay Headland in Tomaree National Park.  Relax overnight at Port Stephens or Hunter
Valley if Balloon flight booked. Alternatively try a Balloon Flight over
the Hunter Valley.

Day  3 – Relax overnight at Port Stephens ( Other options include 4WD to the Moss Wall and walks
in Watagan Mountains - your choice.After a full day we travel back to Sydney crossing the mighty & scenic Hawkesbury River, travelling back into the city via the leafy north shore suburbs, arriving approximately 6pm..
